Cost: Free

Location: Travis Building, International Linguistics Center, Dallas, TX 76236

You are invited to a conversation about training for Bible Translation, Scripture Engagement and Language Development, Friday October 11, 8:30 a.m.-4.00 p.m. in the Travis Building at the International Linguistics Center before the Bible Translation 2019 conference. We are actively seeking perspectives from those involved in training with different organizations and from different parts of the world. We will look at these questions:

    1. What CONTEXTS are we preparing people to work in?
    2. What CONCEPTS underpin our training? For example, what are the values that shape our training?
    3. How do these contexts and concepts influence our CURRICULA?

Space is limited to 50 people, so please sign up here if you plan to attend. If you would like to give a short presentation answering these questions for the training you are involved with, please add that to the sheet. If you are unable to attend but would still like to contribute a presentation, please contact phil_king@sil.org.
